Nice trip over to Glentress this morning to talk to the forestry commission’s recreation ranger. Very productive meeting looking forward to working with FCS as the project progresses.
Went for a recce to Cardrona Forest, a bit dreich* but beautiful and so peaceful, a long steady winding climb up to an old hill fort with spectacular views over Peebles and Glentress with the Cross Borders Drove road bordering the western side of the forest.
